Paws Pressed in Paper: A Gallery of Forever Companions

Hey everyone, it’s wyn here. On this bright Tuesday, June 10, 2025, I’m sitting down with my  paper cut, trying to catch those fuzzy memories I hold dear. Let me share why this little gallery means so much.

Back in high school, my family surprised me with the sweetest little pup—she was like a bundle of pure joy!

She quickly became my best buddy, and guess what? Soon, we had six adorable puppies racing around the house. Honestly, I never got around to naming them all, but the love between us? It was real and unspoken, like they just understood me. We’d play fetch or snuggle up, and it felt like magic every day.

But life has its way of changing things. Sadly, the momma dog passed away, and those six fluff balls... well, they got lost over time.

And here’s the kicker: I didn’t have a single picture left. Nothing to hold onto. Now, when I try to remember their fuzzy faces, it’s like reaching for a dream that’s just out of touch.

That’s why I started cutting paper into these little doggy shapes—a way to keep their souls alive in art.

I spend hours snipping and folding, hoping to match the images in my head. But truth be told? They never look quite right. The way their tails wagged or their eyes sparkled—it’s all blurred now, and no amount of paper can bring it back fully.

So, friends, learn from my heartache: don’t wait until they’re gone to save those precious moments. Snap a photo, scribble a note, anything. Pets are more than companions; they’re pieces of our soul that deserve to be treasured while we still can. Let’s make sure no one else has to cut paper to fill the gaps—instead, we can build a gallery of joy together.

Sending hugs your way
